The Idaho State track and field team turned in a sensational weekend with standout performances across multiple event groups at the Ed Jacoby Twilight in Boise and the Utah State Aggie Invitational in Logan.
Ed Jacoby Twilight Recap
The Bengals wasted no time making history on Friday. In the men's 4x100m relay, the team of
Jason Monroe,
Jacob Webster, Corbridge Bastian, and
Khutsisa Rampete clocked an impressive 40.65 seconds, finishing second and tying for the second-fastest time in school history.

In the hurdles,
Kylee Dimick captured first place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.56 seconds, while
Kaila Mederios followed closely with a third-place finish in 15.01 seconds.
Anise Becker added another gold to the team's tally, taking first place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.95.

The Bengals saw multiple personal bests on the track, including
Sulette Ferreyra Serna (2:19.15) and
Olivia Kendell (2:24.07) in the women's 800m and
Zac Pollock (1:57.44) in the men's 800m.

In the sprints,
Braxton Hurst took third in the 400m (48.70) and
Dalton Rasmussen recorded a personal best 48.88 for fourth place. Sprinters
Jinettie Garbett (25.26) and
Kylee Dimick (25.37) both PR'd in the women's 200m, earning third and fourth place finishes, respectively.

Field Events Domination
The Bengals dominated the field events, highlighted by one of the biggest moments of the meet.
Kaila Mederios shattered a program record in the women's long jump that had stood untouched since 1988, launching herself 6.09m (19'11.75") to secure first place. Her historic jump not only put her at the top of ISU's all-time list but also ranked her T-50
th in the NCAA West Region and 104
th nationally. Breaking a 36-year-old record, Mederios etched her name into the Bengal history books in dramatic fashion.
In the pole vault,
Elliotte Stockham soared to a new personal best of 4.13m (13'6.5"), finishing first and climbing to third all-time in school history, while also ranking 38
th in the West Region.

Katelyn Dickemore had a stellar meet as well, taking first in the javelin (47.33m)—fifth all-time in school history—and placing third in the shot put (13.39m). She also ranks 34
th in the  West in javelin.

Throwers Continued Their Strong Season
Kait Ward captured first in the hammer throw (56.06m), setting a PR and the fifth-best mark in ISU history.
Jay Wadley won the discus (55.71m) and finished second in the shot put (16.78m).
Andrew Burrows PR'd in both the discus (47.32m) and shot put (15.83m).

In the women's discus, Idaho State swept the podium with
Zoie Kessinger (first - 45.78m),
Katelyn Dickemore (second - 45.44m), and
Kait Ward (third - 45.03m, PR). Jumpers
Kaiden Lee and
Qwentyn Petty also secured podium finishes and personal bests in the men's long jump.
Cam Davis closed out an electric meet by winning the men's triple jump with a personal-best 14.24m (46'8.75").

Utah State Aggie Invitational
Due to weather conflicts, the Men's pole vault travelled down to the Utah State Aggie Invitational. In this event, the Bengals dominated with
Maddix Blazovich and
Cade Ricks both clearing 4.89m (16'00.5"), finishing first and second, respectively, as Idaho State swept the top two spots.

Idaho State posted dominant performances across the board, breaking school records, climbing regional and national rankings, and setting up for a powerful finish to the outdoor season. The Bengals will hope to carry the momentum as they return home to Pocatello next week to compete in the Bengal Invitational on Friday, May 2
