Results PDFPOCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State men's tennis team turned the tables on Seattle University Sunday morning, earning a 4-3 victory at Reed Gym after dropping a 4-3 decision Saturday against the visiting Redhawks.
The doubles point once again went to Seattle, as ISU dropped a 6-2 decision at the No. 1 doubles position and a 7-5 final at the No. 2 spot. Freshman

Haseeb Khan earned the lone doubles victory for ISU with a 6-1 rout of Seattle's Jeremiah Kalmus and Ian Clare, but the doubles point was awarded to Seattle for the match.
The difference in today's match was singles play, as Idaho State (2-6) battled for four wins to sneak past Seattle (2-10). The Bengals earned wins at the Nos. 1, 3, 5 and 6 singles positions as junior
William Edin earned a commanding win against SU's Ian Clare 6-3, 6-3, junior
Bjorn Scheepbouwer defeated Tanner Berkabile 6-4, 6-4, Filipovich bested Matt Alderson 6-0, 6-2 and Khan battled Kalmus for the 6-3, 7-6 win at the No. 6 position.
"Things fell in our favor today," Head Coach
Mark Rodel said. "We weren't able to win the doubles point today either. Yesterday, we were on the verge of winning four singles matches, and today we were just able to pull it off. I think it's a testament to the guys never giving up. They are constantly out there fighting and giving it their all. Today it paid off."
The Bengals are back in action March 5 as they travel to Cheney, Wash. to take on the Eagles of Eastern Washington at 2 p.m. MST.
