Results POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State women's tennis team lost 7-0 to Portland State on Sunday afternoon. The match was played in Vancouver, Wash., at Club Green Meadows.
Despite the setback, the Bengals played with great energy as five of the six singles matches went to three sets.
"We played with so much heart today," Idaho State coach
Gretchen Maloney said. "Every match came down to the wire but we couldn't get them today. We will get back to practice to prepare for the next battle.
Portland State won the doubles point.
Kasey Bacon lost her match at No. 1 singles to Dane Vorster 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-4) and
Svenja Tegtmeier lost her match to Siena Peri 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.
Wiebke Boeckmann lost at No. 3 singles to Tracy Dong 5-7, 7-5, 7-5 and Nonie Alexandersen lost to Sabrina-Elena Preda 7-5, 7-6 (7-4).
Laura Theus dropped her match at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-3 and
Taylor Cole lost 2-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-7).
ISU returns to the court on March 25 against Southern Utah in Reed Gym.
