POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State women's basketball team hits the road for two conference matchups this week, starting with Portland State on Jan. 18 at 9 p.m. MST at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Ore.
BENGALS PREVIEW
· The Bengals dropped their third conference game Saturday with a 63-57 loss at home to Northern Colorado. ISU was led in scoring by junior forward
Grace Kenyon with 15 points, while
Brooke Blair and
Saylair Grandon added 13 and 11, respectively.
· Through 16 games, the Bengals are averaging 69.5 points per game shooting 43.4 percent from the floor, good for fourth in the Big Sky, and a conference-best 37.5 percent from three. ISU averages 40.0 rebounds per game with a conference-best +6.8 rebounding margin to go along with 7.3 steals per game and 14.4 assists per game. The Bengals also boast a conference-best +8.9 scoring margin.
· Idaho State is led in scoring by Blair at 14.4 points per game.
Grace Kenyon also averages double-figures for the Bengals with 11.4 points per game.
Estefania Ors and
Saylair Grandon are close behind at 9.8 and 9.4 point per game, respectively.

Sai Tapasa leads the rebounding effort with a 7.1 per game average while Kenyon averages 6.8 per contest.
SCOUTING PORTLAND STATE
· Portland State is 9-7 overall on the season with a 3-2 mark in conference play, good for fourth. The Vikings carry a 5-1 record in Portland with their lone home loss coming to Idaho, 101-90, on Jan. 6.
· The Vikings average 74.6 points per game to rank second in the conference, and they are shooting 43.5 percent from the floor, good for third. PSU also averages 40 rebounds per contest and a league-leading 16.9 assists per game.
· Four players average double-figures for the Vikings, led by Sidney Rielly at 19.6 points per game. Ashley Bolston is close behind at 18.3 points per contest, while Kiana Brown and Kylie Jimenez add 11.6 and 10.1 per contest, respectively.
· Courtney West leads the charge on the glass, averaging 7.4 boards per game, while four other players average at least four rebounds per game: Pia Jurhar (5.9), Tatiana Streun (5.5), Bolston (4.1) and Corey James (4.1).
· The Vikings are led by Head Coach Lynn Kennedy who is in his third season with the Vikings.
· SERIES REVIEW: Idaho State leads the series 33-20, and the Bengals have won each of the last 12 matchups. In the last meeting, the Bengals bested the Vikings 54-50 in the semifinals of the Big Sky Conference Tournament to advance to the championship.
