POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State women's basketball team is back in action against the Arizona Wildcats tomorrow night with the tip set for 6:30 p.m. It will be the first meeting between the two programs and the season opener for Arizona.

Bengals Rout Cal Baptist in Season Opener
• Idaho State began the season 1-0 by taking down Cal Baptist in CBU's first game as a Division I team. The Bengals won 72-57 while shooting 46.7 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Estefania Ors,
Grace Kenyon and
Saylair Grandon combined for 67 percent of the Bengals' offense. Ors led the team with 19 points in her first start since the 2016-17 season while shooting 7-12 overall and 3-4 from three.
• Kenyon and Grandon each finished one rebound shy of a double-double with 15 and 14 points respectively. Kenyon was 7-11 from the field and added six assists.

Madison Hinrichs made the start at point guard and finished with six points and three assists.
Callie Bourne made her first appearance for the Bengals and scored four points without missing a shot.
• The ISU defense had a strong showing with eight steals and three blocks and converted 16 points off turnovers. The team was patient on offense, tallying 15 assists on 28 made field goals.
• This season, the Bengals were picked to finish third in the Big Sky Coaches' Preseason Poll and fourth by the media.
• Head Coach
Seton Sobolewski is in his 11th season with the program and carries a 172-142 overall record (.547). He has led the team to two postseason tournament appearances: one NCAA tournament berth and one WNIT tournament appearance.

Scouting Arizona
• Arizona finished 6-24 last season with a 2-16 record in the PAC-12.
• The team returns eight letter winners and welcomes four newcomers to the roster. They lost their leading scorer, but return starter and Pac-12 All-Freshman Team member Sam Thomas who averaged 10.2 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game.
• The Wildcats also brought in McDonald's All-American Cate Reese. In high school, Reece averaged 30.6 points and 15.3 rebounds per game.
• The Wildcats averaged 57.9 points per game while shooting 36.4 percent from the field and 30.6 percent from behind the arc.
• Arizona played two exhibitions with wins in both. The team shot 56 percent from the field and limited their opponents to a combined shooting percentage of 23 percent.
• Adia Barnes is in her third season as head coach at Arizona and has a 20-44 record with the 'Cats.
• The Bengals will look to spoil Arizona's season opener. The Wildcats have won their first game of the season each of the last two years.
