 Idaho State women's basketball has a three-game home stretch beginning this week against Montana State on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. (MST) and Montana on Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. (MST). ISU hosts Weber State next Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. (MST) in its Play4Kay game.

The games will feature live stats, video, and audio brought to you by Mark Liptak and KISU 91.1. The pregame show will begin approximately 20 minutes before game time. On Feb. 20, fans are encouraged to wear pink in honor of the Play4Kay game.

Scouting Montana State
Montana State has consistently ranked No. 1 in the Big Sky this season, recording a single conference loss to Idaho in a one-point difference, 69-68, on Jan. 9 in Bozeman, Mont. The Bobcats, who were picked first in both the coaches' pre-season poll and by the media, have tallied a 15-6 record so far in the 2019-20 season and are 11-1 in the Big Sky.

MSU leads the Big Sky in scoring margin (+12.5), rebounding offense (42.8 pg), rebounding margin (+7.9), and steals (10.4 pg) while ranking second in scoring offense (72.3 ppg), scoring defense (60.4 ppg), turnover margin (+2.8), offensive boards per game (14.5), and defensive boards per game (28.3). The Bobcats rank top four in both field goal percentage defense and three-point defense.

Nationally, MSU ranks No. 27 in rebounding margin, No. 33 in steals per game, No. 37 in scoring margin, No. 43 in scoring offense, and No. 47 in field goal percentage defense.

The Bobcats rarely shoot from three, with just 29.5 percent of shots coming from beyond the three-point arc. In the Big Sky, MSU has taken the fourth-least amount of three-point shot attempts (388).

Overall, the team is producing 72.9 points per game while shooting 554-1313 (.422) from the field, 125-388 (.322) from three and 297-415 (.716) from the free-throw line.

Fallyn Freije, Darian White, Martha Kuderer, Madeline Smith, and Oliana Squires are the projected starters for Montana State.

Freije sits No. 10 in the Big Sky in scoring, averaging 13.1 points per game while ranking third in rebounding with 167 boards for eight per game. The senior is shooting .409 from the field while shooting a conference second-best .807 from the free-throw line. She led the Bobcats with 15 points, eight boards, two steals, and one block in their victory over the Bengals earlier this season.

White averages 11.4 points per game while leading the conference with a .838 free-throw percentage. The freshman has 53 steals on the season, good for 2.5 per game and a second-place ranking in conference. White scored 12 against ISU earlier this season with six points coming from the free-throw line. She also grabbed a team-second best five boards.

Kuderer is MSU's best three-point shooter, going 19-44 (.432) from three. ISU held her to just eight points and zero three-point shots in January.  Smith, a 6'2 senior, is aggressive on the board finishing seventh in offensive rebounds (2.3 pg) and blocked shots (1.1 pg). Smith also leads her team in field-goal percentage (.526). 

Squires leads the team in assists per game (3.2). She followed Freije with 13 points against ISU while also recording three steals and tossing three assists.

The two teams matched-up earlier this season on Jan. 25 in Bozeman, Mont. The Bobcats walked away with a 67-59 victory after shooting 13-17 from the free-throw line while the Bengals were just 5-8. MSU also scored 13 points off of 17 ISU turnovers and another 13 second chance points following 14 offensive boards. Callie Bourne led the Bengals with 15 points. 

MSU leads the all-time series 46-37 with the two teams splitting the last 10 games. Montana State has won three of the last five meetings. Head Coach Seton Sobolewski is 13-10 in his career against the Bobcats.

Bourne is sixth in rebounds (157 - 7.1 pg), fourth in defensive boards (125 - 5.7 pg) and No. 14 in scoring (12.6 ppg). Dora Goles is second in 3-pointers made (51), fourth in steals (46 - 2.1 pg), and No. 13 in assists (69 - 3.1 pg). Ellie Smith is fourth in blocked shots (40) and Diaba Konate ranks 10th in assists (75 - 3.4 pg).

Trends
Bourne has recorded double-digit points the last eleven games and has reached double-digit points in all but four games this season. Goles has produced double-digits in nine of 13 conference games while Konate follows with double-digits in five conference games including a career-high 32 points against NAU on Feb. 6. 

The Bengals have out-rebounded their opponents in all but seven of their 22 games so far this season.

Recap: Sac State
ISU set the pace with a double-digit lead throughout most of the game with a game high 27-point lead at 71-44 in the fourth quarter. The Orange and Black shot 53 percent (32-60) from the field and 40 percent (10-25) from three while holding the Hornets to under 25 percent from both to end the game in a 75-51 victory. The Bengals grabbed 45 boards led by Callie Bourne with nine and Delaney Moore with a season-high eight.

Three Bengals reached double digit points led by Goles and Smith with 14 and Bourne with 13 in her 11th consecutive double digit game. Carsyn Boswell hit a career-high nine points after sinking three 3s. Smith's 14 points ties her career-high.
