POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State soccer team returns to the pitch for a full game for the first time since Oct. 27, 2019 on Sunday, Feb. 2 as they host the College of Idaho Yotes in an exhibition match.

New Faces
The ISU Soccer roster will look a little different this year. Of the 24 student-athletes on the roster 18 are new to the program.
Forwards
Returning for the forwards is Michaela Didericksen, who in 2019, was tied for most goals scored for the Bengals with 4, and second in shots taken with 39. Of those 39 shots 22 were on goal.

Mid-FieldÂ
In the mid-fielder group, the Bengals only return one, Marisa Hasebi. Hasebi played in 18 of the Bengals 19 matches in the 2019 season and recorded four shots, all being on goal.

DefenseÂ
The Bengals veteran group, the defenders, return four for the 2021 season. Karlin Wurlitzer leads the group. In 2019, Wurlitzer netted two penalty kicks to win two separate games for the Bengals. Also returning are Rachel Brownell, Lauren McGahie and Delaney Uyeshiro.

2021 Spring Divisional Schedule
The Big Sky Conference announced a revised version of the league's soccer schedule that includes divisional play for the 2021 spring season, as approved by the Presidents' Council this week.
 Spring soccer play starts on March 12. The women will play a divisional schedule with five teams in the Northwest Division (Eastern Washington, Idaho, Montana, Portland State, and Sacramento State) and five teams in the Southeast Division (Idaho State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Southern Utah, and Weber State). Each team will play every opponent in their division twice in a Friday-Sunday weekend series at the same location. The schedule features two home series and two away series against each divisional opponent with one open week built in.
 The top two teams from each division will advance to the 2021 Big Sky Women's Soccer Spring Championship. The tournament is scheduled for April 15-17 and will be hosted by Weber State in Ogden, Utah.
 The Big Sky's tournament champion will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA Selection Show will be held on Sunday, April 18, and the tournament will be played from April 23-May 15.
