POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State women's basketball hits the road this week to take on the University of Montana In Missoula. Game one starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25 and Game two on Feb. 27 at 12 p.m.

Previous Matchup with Montana on 02/15/20
The Idaho State women's basketball team defeated Montana 72-59 on Saturday afternoon in Reed Gym.

The Bengals shot over 45 percent from the field and from three while shooting 81 percent from the free-throw line. ISU defense held the Lady Griz to just 32 percent from field-goal range and 18 percent from three.

ISU was aggressive, scoring 14 points off a fast-breaks. Each team scored 32 points in the paint.

Dora Goles scored a career-high 36 points after going 10-17 from the field, 11-12 from the free-throw line, and sinking five 3s. Her 36-points is just two shy from tying the all-time single game point record (38) and is the most a player has scored under Head Coach Seton Sobolewski. She also had a team-high three steals, grabbed three boards, and tossed two assists.

Callie Bourne followed with 10 points in her 13th consecutive double-digit game. Montana Oltrogge grabbed a career-high 11 boards while adding seven points for the Bengals.

ISU had a 13-11 lead at the end of the first quarter. Each team was aggressive to the basket, scoring a combined 16 points in the paint.

The game stayed close until the Bengals went on a 9-3 run to take a 10-point lead at 27-17 with 1:24 minutes left in the first half. A three-point shot from Goles gave ISU the 10-point lead. The Lady Griz managed to lay one up before the buzzer to end the half down 27-20.

ISU shot 36 percent from the floor against UM's 21 percent in the half. Bourne finished the half with eight points and Goles followed with seven.

UM went on a 13-5 run in the middle of the third quarter to catch up to ISU and eventually taking a short-lived 41-39 lead with 2:28 minutes left. The quarter would end tied at 45. Goles scored 14 of ISU's 18 points in the quarter.

The Bengals jumped out in a six-point lead, 51-45, in the first two minutes of the final quarter. The Lady Griz cut the lead to three at 51-48 but would get no closer the rest of the game. Idaho State went on a 21-11 run to end the game led by Goles with 13 points.
Bengal Bites
·       At 16-3 ISU has guaranteed themselves a winning season regardless of what happens the rest of the way. It is the 9th time in 13 years under Seton they've done this. They've also had a .500 year. So, the totals are: Nine winning seasons…three losing ones and a .500 campaign.Â

·       The 16-3 start to the season is the best in program history. Program is 46 years old.Â

·       The 10-0 start at home is the best home start since the 2010-11 team started the year 10-0 at Reed Gym. They'd finish the year 12-1 at home.Â

·       In the last 14 games Delaney Moore and Ellie Smith have combined for 237 points and 141 rebounds out of the post. That's an average of 16.9 points and 10.0 rebounds a game. Ellie is now in 10th place all-time in blocked shots with 91. She needs four more to pass Nicole Davis for 9th place with 95. Davis played from 1993-1996. Â

·       Estefania Ors has scored 1,276 points. She has passed Charly Bond, 1976-1980, and moved into 9th place on the all-time scoring list. Next up is Alison Verona with 1,320 points.

·       Ors also needs seven more games to pass Kara Jenkins and become the leader in most games played. Jenkins played in 124 games for ISU.

·       Delaney Moore stands at 113 games played. She is now alone in 11th place.Â

Last Game Recap: vs Montana State

The Idaho State women's basketball team lost a tough 88-80 overtime contest against the Montana State Bobcats Saturday afternoon in Bozeman, Mont. The Bengals erased a 12 point deficit in the fourth quarter to take the game to overtime before eventually falling to the Bobcats.Â
Diaba Konate opened the scoring for the Bengals, hitting a jumper at 08:24 to tie the game at 2-2. With 5:40 to go in the first, Callie Bourne hit a three-pointer to give the Bengals their first lead of the game at 5-4. The Bengals would go on a 15-0 run capped by a jumper from Delaney Moore to give the Bengals a 17-4 lead. The Bobcats responded with an 8-0 run at the end of the quarter to cut the Bengal lead to 17-12.
In the second, Dora Goles broke the Bengals scoring drought with a three-pointer with 7:20 in the period giving the Bengals a 20-15 lead. After a Montana State three with 5:25 to play the Bobcats tied the game at 22 apiece. The Bobcats ended the half going on an 18-3 run heading into the locker room with a 37-25 halftime lead over the Bengals.
With 1:53 left to play in the third, Konate hit a three to bring the Bengals to within 11 points of the Bobcats at 53-42. The Bengals would go 4-4 over the final 1:30 of the quarter to pull within 6 heading into the final period.
Less than a minute into the 4th, Estefania Ors hit a three to pull the Bengals to within three at 55-52. The Bengals would cut the lead to two with a made layup by Ors with 7:39 to play. The Bengals tied the game at 60 after two free-throws by Moore with 4:05 left to play in the game. After a jumpshot by Konate with 3:12 the Bengals took their first lead since the first quarter at 62-60 lead. Tomekia Whitman hit a jumper to give the Bengals the 68-66 lead with 1:17 to play after an O-board by Ors. The Bengals would take a 72-69 lead with 20 seconds to play.
After gaining possession, the Bobcats hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 72 with .06 seconds left and send the game to overtime. Â
In the first minute of overtime, The Bengals and Bobcats went back and forth with field goals. At 02:25 to play in OT, Ors hit a three-pointer to tie the game.Â
The Bobcats then went on a 9-2 run over the last three minutes of overtime while the Bengals only made one of their last eight field goals to end the game with the 88-80 Bobcat victory.
The Bengals shot 38.6% from the field. Five Bengals shot in double-digit figures. Delaney Moore led the team with a career high 25 points. Goles and Ors both scored 11 points.
Two Bengals had double-doubles. Bourne had 14 points and 13 rebounds and Konate scored 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Overall, the Bengals out-rebounded the Bobcats 48-41.
