POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State track and field team will open the 2021 outdoor season with the Westmont Collegiate Classic with Jim Klein Multi-Events this weekend in Santa Barbara Calif.
This is the first of eight meets scheduled for the Bengals this season which includes one home meet, the Bengal Invitational, on April 16-17.
To start off the weekend the multi-athletes will compete in the Heptathlon and Decathlon Thursday, March 25 starting at 10 a.m., and Friday, March 26 starting at 9 a.m. For the complete Heptathlon and Decathlon schedule click here.
The rest of the team will join for the full meet on Saturday, March 27 which will begin at 10 a.m. For the complete schedule click here.
No spectators will be allowed to attend the meet due to COVID-19 protocol.
The meet will feature live results, download the app Track Meet Mobile, then search 'Westmont', and select the Westmont Collegiate Classic.

Preseason Ranking
Heading into the 2021 Outdoor season the Bengals were picked fourth and fifth in the Big Sky Conference coaches poll. The Idaho State men's team was picked fourth and the women's team was picked fifth. This is an improvement from last year, where both teams were picked seventh.
