POCATELLO, Idaho. - Andreas Kramer has signed an Athletic Scholarship Agreement to play tennis next season at Idaho State University, Head Coach
Alexander Free announced on Tuesday. Kramer, a transfer from Middle Tennessee State University, will join the Bengals in the Fall of 2021.
Kramer, a native of Schmida, Austria, has competed in 25 matches for the Blue Raiders, compiling a 7-5 singles record and a 7-6 doubles record. As a freshman, Kramer was part of the 2021 MTSU team that won the Conference USA Championship Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
"Andreas is exactly the type of player that we are looking for here at Idaho State," Free said. "He is incredibly motivated to develop on and off the court and he comes highly recommended from his coaches at Middle Tennessee. The experience that he brings from a championship winning program will be critical for us as we take the next step towards our goals as a program and I expect Andreas to make an immediate impact."
Prior to his career at Middle Tennessee, Kramer was a four time Austrian National Champion, including a 2 time U18 Austrian National Doubles Champion. Additionally, Kramer was the U18 Lower Austrian singles champion during his junior career.

Kramer joins a Bengal squad that recently earned a #2 seed in the Big Sky Championships in Phoenix, Arizona on May 1st, 2021.
