POCATELLO, Idaho – Six Bengals earn the chance to compete at the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field West Preliminary Championship, May 26-29 in College Station, Texas.
Tanner Conner qualified in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.07 which he ran at the Big Sky Conference Championships in Ogden, Utah. For the 110m hurdles the qualifying time to get into the regional championship meet was 14.10 seconds.
Treyshon Malone qualified in the long jump during the first meet of the year in Santa Barbara at the Westmont Collegiate Classic where he jumped 7.90m. For the long jump, the qualifying mark to get into the regional championship meet was 7.46m.
Adam Elorrieta qualified in the high jump after jumping 2.13m at the Westmont Collegiate Classic in Santa Barbara, Calif. For the high jump, the qualifying mark to get into the regional championship meet was 2.09m.
Owen Mitchell qualified in the high jump after jumping 2.12m at the 2021 UVU Collegiate Invitational in Orem, Utah. For the high jump, the qualifying mark to get into the regional championship meet was 2.09m.
Leo Finsterbush qualified in the hammer throw with a mark of 61.06m which he threw at the Conference meet in Ogden, Utah. For the hammer, the qualifying mark to get into the regional championship meet was 60.94m.
Anna Gardom qualified in the javelin with her 48.02m throw at the 2021 UVU Collegiate Invitational in Orem, Utah. For the javelin, the qualifying mark to get into the regional championship meet was 46.10m. Gardom will not be competing due to an injury.
