POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State soccer fell to CSU Bakersfield 1-0 on a rainy Sunday afternoon in Pocatello, Idaho.
The Bengals had 20 shots in the game, the most since Sept. 2019.
Deborah Pond had eight shots with four on goal. Gabby Warta had four and Peyton Dion and Kaylyn Buchanan both tacked on three each.
The Bengal defense held the roadrunners to zero shots in the first half. In the second half, the Bengal defense continued to hold strong until the 85th minute when the roadrunners were able to sneak a goal past ISU Keeper McKayla Wetsel.
The Bengals tied their season high in corners with seven.
The Orange and Black are back in action this Friday as they open Big Sky conference play against Eastern Washington University at 7 PM on Davis Field.
