POCATELLO, Idaho – Four Bengals have named to the Big Sky Women's Tennis All-Conference teams. Idaho State earned their first-ever Big Sky Regular Season Championship this season since the Big Sky began keeping conference records in 2004, and will head into the Big Sky Tournament as the #1 seed after going 13-5 overall and 6-2 in conference play, falling to only Sacramento State and Weber State since January 27
th.
Leading the way for Idaho State were the O'Lideadha twins,
Lola O'Lideadha being named to the All-Big Sky Singles First Team, and
Sol O'Lideadha being named to the All-Big Sky Singles Second Team. As well as the twins earning All-Big Sky Doubles First Team together.
Stefanya Shalakhova earned All-Big Sky Singles Honorable Mention honors, and Shalakhova along with freshman teammate,
Asem Shoybek, were named to the All-Big Sky Doubles Second Team.
Lola O'Lideadha, senior from Dublin, Ireland has been selected to the All-Big Sky Singles First Team after a 13-4 overall record this season and a 5-3 record in conference play, going 8-3 in the #2 singles spot for the Bengals this year. O'Lideadha is Idaho State's first Big Sky Singles First Team selection since Louise-Mare Batos in the 2016-17 season.
Sol O'Lideadha, also a senior out of Dublin, Ireland, would finish this season with a 12-5 overall record and 6-2 record in Big Sky play, while going 8-3 in the #3 singles position and 4-2 in the #4 singles spot for ISU this year.
Lola and
Sol O'Lideadha were selected to the All-Big Sky Doubles First Team following an 11-6 overall record on the year, all matches played in the #1 doubles position for the Bengals, and boasting a 5-2 record in Big Sky play. The O'Lideadha twins are Idaho State's first ever duo to be named to the All-Big Sky Doubles First Team in back-to-back seasons and the only duo to be named to 3 All-Big Sky Doubles First Team's
Stefanya Shalakhova, sophomore out of Almaty, Kazakhstan, earned All-Big Sky Singles Honorable Mention honors after finishing this season 11-4 overall and 6-2 in conference play, going 4-1 in the #4 spot, 3-3 in the #5 spot, and 3-0 in the #6 spot for the Bengals.

Attention now turns to Phoenix, as the 2024 Big Sky Women's Tennis Championship starts on April 25
th-27
