POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State women's basketball team fell to the Montana State Bobcats 94-52 in Bozeman Thursday evening.
The Bengals started off the game strong, scoring five first quarter three-point field goals and taking an early lead over the Bobcats.
The Bobcats came into the game as the No. 1 team in the Big Sky Conference and showed it over the nex three quarters, outscoring the Bengals 80-33 over the next three quarters to run away with the win.
Maria Dias led the Bengals with 10 points.
Piper Carlson led Idaho State as they outrebounded the Bobcats 37-32. Carlson grabbed 10 boards and scored 9 points, just one shy of the double-double.
Turnovers were the downfall of the Bengals in the game. The Bengals committed 29 which led to 40 Montana State points. The 29 are the most for an Idaho State team since the 2015 season when they gave up 33 to Sacramento State.
Idaho State returns to action this Saturday in Missoula, Mont. taking on the Montana Lady Griz Saturday at 2:00 PM MT.
