SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Idaho State men's tennis wrapped up three days of competition at the 2025 University of Utah Invitational with a strong Sunday showing, highlighted by four singles victories and a pair of doubles wins to close the event on a high note. The Bengals faced off against regional foes Utah, Utah State, and Montana State, testing their depth and consistency across three full days of match play.
Doubles Recap
The Bengals opened the weekend Friday with competitive showings against host Utah and a veteran Utah State lineup.
Saturday featured another full slate of doubles, where Lamothe/Dalos and Wensley/Maya faced Montana State duos in narrow defeats (6–4, 6–1). De Pellegrin/de Visser and Bouman/Ciguenza also battled Utah pairings in two close losses, 7–5 and 7–6 (3).
On Sunday, Idaho State found its rhythm.

Dalos/Lamothe defeated Utah State's Goubin/Alex 6–4, while De Pellegrin/de Visser rolled past Montana State's Elaroussy/Stewart 6–1.

Head coach Oliver Good was encouraged by the team's effort and growth throughout the weekend.
"We got a lot of quality matches this weekend which helps us continue to build for the season ahead," said Good. "We took some steps forward in a few areas this weekend which is a credit to the work our players have been putting in and it's paying off with their results. We now look to finish off the fall really strong at our final tournaments of Regionals and Montana State."
