PHOENIX, Arizona – The No. 3 seeded Idaho State women's tennis team saw its Big Sky Championship run come to a close with a 3–4 loss to No. 2 seed Northern Arizona on Friday morning at the Phoenix Tennis Center.
The result marks the second time this season the Bengals have fallen to the Lumberjacks by a narrow 3–4 margin, highlighting just how tightly contested the matchup has been throughout the year.
Doubles
Northern Arizona claimed the early momentum by sweeping the completed doubles matches to secure the point.
Dropping the doubles point forced Idaho State to play from behind early in singles competition.
Singles
The Bengals responded with strong efforts across the lineup, earning three singles victories and pushing multiple matches to tight finishes. 4 of the 6 singles matches going the full 3 frames.

Despite the comeback efforts, Northern Arizona was able to secure the fourth point in a tightly contested match, edging the Bengals by a 3–4 score.
