Iowa is 3-4 and coming off a 76-73 loss at Wake Forest on Tuesday. Eric May leads Iowa in scoring at 13.9 points a game while Zach McCabe is scoring 10.3 points. Starting Strong
Deividas Busma is off to his best start in his Idaho State career. The Bengal senior scored in double figures in the first four games of the season but that streak was snapped against Montana Tech when he had nine points. Busma is currently averaging 13.2 points and 7.4 rebounds a game while shooting 61.7 percent from the field.
JUCO Tough
A big reason for Idaho State's 69-57 victory over Montana Tech on Monday night was the play of junior college transfers
Chase Grabau,
Abner Moreira and
Kenny McGowen. The three players combined to score 43 of the team's 69 points. McGowen and Grabau each had season and career high's of 21 and 10 points while Moreira tied his season and career-high with 12 points. Moreira also had a career-high 13 rebounds.
Idaho State Against Top Competition
Since Joe O'Brien was named head coach he hasn't backed down from top competition as he has faced 19 schools from a BCS conference in four years. This year ISU plays Colorado, Arizona and Iowa. Idaho State has yet to win one of these games.
