“This team is still learning what DI tennis is all about,” ISU Head Coach
Bobby Goeltz said. “It is about different conditions, different opponents and learning that it is not the end of the world if you lose. These players have been playing with some anxiety and we are trying to get them to relax. They played well today and really pushed. PSU is a better team than last year and we are still very young. I can see the progression in them. They are a great group of young women and I couldn't ask for a better group.”
Freshman
Madelyn Weltzin dropped to 0-7 in singles play with her loss at the No. 3 spot to Kesley Frey 6-3, 6-4 while freshman
Svenja Tegtmeier lost to Megan Govi at the No. 4 spot 7-5, 6-2.
Freshman
Wiebke Boeckmann dropped to 1-4 in singles action with a loss at the No. 5 singles to Marti Pellicano 6-2, 6-4.
Freshman
