Stempien Named US Bank Bengal Athlete of the Week

POCATELLO, Idaho – Krzysztof Stempien has been named the US Bank Bengal Athlete of the Week for his performance during last week's matches.

The Poland native finished 3-0 in both singles and doubles matches against Southern Utah and Grand Canyon. 

He dropped just four of his 24 games against the T-Birds collecting  victories at both the No. 1 and No. 2 spots.  He also recorded victories in both of his No. 1 doubles matches with Daniel Loebel.

In the match against Grand Canyon, Stempien was the only Bengal to record a win coming back to get the victory after dropping the first set (4-6, 6-3 and 10-2).

Stempien helped lead the Bengals to a season best five-match winning streak.
