Hutchison, Arnold Compete at USA Track and Field Championships

POCATELLO, Idaho- Presli Hutchison and former pole vaulter for the Bengals Mike Arnold are off to Eugene, Ore. to compete at the USA Track and Field Championships. Hutchison will compete in the junior portion of the 5,000-meter run Friday, June 26 at 10:15 a.m. Pacific Time. Arnold will compete in the men's pole vault Saturday, June 27 at 11:50 a.m.
 
Over the course of his career Arnold has won the 2014 North American Pole Vault Association Championship and six Big Sky Pole Vault Championships. He holds the second best ISU indoor pole vault mark (17-07 3/4) and he finished seventh in the men's pole vault at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. by clearing a height of 17-08 1/2 in one attempt.

Hutchison just completed her first year at Idaho State where she set a career best 5,000-meter time of 17:05.23 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival. That time ranks third best in school history.

She placed seventh in the 5,000-meter (18:17.55) and tenth in the 3,000-meter (10:26.56) at the Big Sky Indoor Conference Championships. At the Big Sky Outdoor Conference Championships, she placed 11th overall in the 5,000-meter with a time of 17:51.40.
