POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State football team returns home to host Sacramento State on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 2:35 p.m. in Holt Arena.

Series vs. Sacramento State
Idaho State and Sacramento State take to the field for the 20th meeting. Sacramento State leads the series 12-7 and has won five of the last six meetings. The Bengals only win during this stretch was a 44-24 victory on Homecoming during the 2014 season. Idaho State is 6-4 at home vs. the Hornets.
Bengals on Homecoming
Idaho State is looking for its second Homecoming win in the last three years. ISU beat the Hornets on Homecoming in 2014, 44-24. In 2015, ISU lost to Eastern Washington on Homecoming, 45-28. Prior to the 2014 win over Sacramento State, the Bengals last Homecoming win was 26-14 vs. Northern Colorado in 2007.
About Sacramento State
The Hornets come into Saturday's game with a 0-3 record. As a team Sac State is scoring 13.3 points a game and averaging 306.7 yards of total offense. The Hornets are averaging 112 rushing yards and 194.7 passing yards a game. The Hornet defense is giving up 27.7 points a game and allowing 445 yards. Sac State is giving up 164 yards on the ground and 281 through the air.

- 37 points by Oregon State was the fewest scored by a Power 5 team in 10 attempts.
Records Watch
KW Williams and
Josh Cook are close to breaking into the Top 10 for career receptions and yards. Williams has caught 138 passes for 1,860 yards. He needs eight receptions and 207 receiving yards to crack the Top 10. Cook has caught 119 balls for 1,365 yards. He is now the all-time ISU leader for most receiving yards by a tight end. Cook needs 27 receptions to crack the Top 10 for most receptions in a career.
Depth at Running Back
Idaho State has shown depth at running back early into the 2016 season as five different backs have had carries. Senior
Jakori Ford leads the way with 26 carries for 199 yards and three touchdowns.
Ty Flanagan has 12 carries for 55 yards and
James Madison has 10 carries for 52 yards. Freshman
Michael Dean has eight carries for 36 yards and a touchdown and
Lonell Woodhouse has carried the ball five times. The Bengals are averaging 4.3 yards a carry on 77 attempts.
Spreading the Ball Around
Early into the 2016 season, 10 different players have caught passes from the Bengal quarterbacks.
Josh Cook leads the attack with 16 receptions for 163 yards and
KW Williams has caught 14 balls for 178 yards and two touchdowns.
Jakori Ford has caught 13 passes and
Hagen Graves 12.
