Ogden, Utah – The Idaho State track and field team wrapped up four days of competition Saturday afternoon at Weber State University, the host of the 2021 Big Sky Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The final day included three podium finishes for the Bengals and many others who placed in the top eight. The women finished in fourth overall, with 74 points. The men finished eighth with 48 points.
Elizabeth Butler was named the Big Sky Champion in the 400m, after running a new personal record time of 54.29. Butler is a true freshman for the Bengals.
Collin Dylla placed third in the 800m finals, running a time of 1:51.25.
Louise Lallement finished second in the pole vault jumping 12' 9", this height was a new personal record for her.
Also competing for the Bengals in the pole vault was
Brooke Anger and
Jessica Swannack. Anger placed fourth jumping a height of 12' 9". Swannack placed fifth jumping 12' 5".
Tanner Conner competed in both the 110 hurdles and the 100m dash. He placed fourth in the hurdles running a time of 14.03 and seventh in the 100m running 10.83.
Kodee Vining placed sixth in the 200m running 21.59. This was just under his new personal record which he set in prelims.
In the 400m hurdles,
Kyndal Martin placed fifth running a time of 1:02.85.
Cal Duke placed sixth running 53.02.
Symphony Fike had a huge personal best in the Javelin, throwing 143' 1" and placing eighth.
Zack Ramos placed fifth in the discus, throwing 167' 4".
Leo Finsterbusch placed fifth in the hammer, throwing 200' 4". This was a new personal best for Finterbusch.
In the high jump,
Adam Elorrieta placed fourth and
Owen Mitchell placed fifth for the Bengals. Elorrieta jumped 6' 9.5". Mitchell jumped 6' 8.25".
The men's 4x100 team ran a time of 41.34 and placed fourth overall.
