POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State women's tennis team concluded play at the Bedford Cup in the Mountains at Air Force Academy after collecting some impressive wins.
"It was a great tournament," said Head Coach
Gretchen Maloney. "We learned a lot seeing some of the best teams in the region and the girls were able to get wins over tough opponents."
Lola O'Lideadha earned a big win over a Pac-12 opponent. In a decisive match, O'Lideadha won 6-0, 6-4 over Ky Ecton from the University of Colorado. This win put her into the finals of the back draw. In the finals, O'Lideadha faced Noesjka Brink from the University of Wyoming but fell short 6-2, 6-3.
Hana Cho lost a thriller match against Mila Stanojevic from the University of Colorado 6-3, 4-6, 10-8. In doubles play, Cho paired up with
Megan Lang-Gould to defeat the University of Wyoming pair Alyse Cormier and Sophie Zehender 6-4.
Lang-Gould went undefeated on the final day after she beat Montana State's Felicia Jayasaputra in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
The Bengals return to action October 13-17 in Las Vegas, Nevada for the Mountain Regionals tournament.
