POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State golf team wrapped up play at the Battle at Old Works on Tuesday in Montana. The Bengals fought through heavy wind on day 3 and shot a 971 for the three-round tournament.
On Monday, the Bengals shot a 331 in round 1 and a 308 in round 2. Tuesday's final round saw ISU finish with another 331.

"Tough day on the golf course today," Idaho State coach Dallen Atkins said. "Just wasn't our tournament. A really cold wind picked up to about 25-30 miles an hour today. With as slick as these greens were and where the course and set some pin positions, it made it really hard on these girls to manage being in the right spots on these greens. I felt like today just trying to make a good two putt, was our biggest challenge."

Tya Seth led the Bengal scoring with a 77 in round 1, 76 in round 2 and 81 in round 3 for a 234. Lindsey Lloyd shot a 241 (87-74-80) and Ainsley Snyder finished with a 244 (86-78-80).

Alexis Wilson shot a 252 (81-80-90) and Jenny Ensign finished with a 268 (89-88-91).

"We played ok in the middle round," Atkins said. We had some positive moments there for sure but just started slow and then couldn't quite finish in the wind at the end. We learned a lot this week. Hoping we can take what we learned yesterday and today and build from it."
