POCATELLO, Idaho – After two years, indoor track and field is finally returning to Holt Arena. The Bengals open the 2021-22 T&F season hosting the 2022 Snake River Open Jan. 14-15.
The collegiate meet begins Friday, Jan. 14 with the women's pentathlon and the men's heptathlon. The only other event of the day will be the men's pole vault competition.
The meet continues Saturday Jan. 15 at 9:00 a.m. with the conclusion of the heptathlon and the long jump competition.
The running events begin at 11:15 a.m. with the 60m hurdles.
At 11:50 a.m. Idaho State will host the inaugural 'Fastest Bengal' competition, a 60m dash competition that is open to Idaho State University students.

Preseason Polls
The Idaho State Bengals were picked to finish fifth on the men's side and sixth on the women's side in the preseason poll released by Big Sky officials this past week.
The Idaho State men are coming off of second place finish in the 2020 Indoor championships and the women a third-place 2020 championship finish.
The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks were the unanimous preseason favorites on the men's and women's' sides.Â
