Blazovich, Wadley Wrap Up Day One of West First Round

POCATELLO, Idaho - Idaho State track and field student-athlets Maddix Blazovich and Jay Wadley wrapped up competiton on day one of the 2025 West First Round in College Station, Texas

First up was Blazovich, competing in the pole vault. though the Bengal freshman no heighted to wrap up his first year for the Bengals, Blazovich finishes 2025 with a Big Sky medal and momentum moving forward into 2026. 

Jay Wadley competed in the first of his two competitions this weekend in the men's shot put. Wadley had his best throw of the day on his third attempt with a launch of 17.26m (56-7.5). the mark placed Wadley at 41st in the west and wrapped up his year in the shot put. 

Wadley has one more day of competiton on Saturday, competing in the men's discus throw. 

the meet continues tomorrow, May 29 with Elliotte Stockham in the women's pole vault and Katelyn Dickemore in the women's javelin.
