POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State golf team wrapped up the second round of the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational on Friday afternoon in St. George, Utah.
After shooting a 341 in the opening round, Idaho State shot 314 in round 2 and sits in 15
th place. Each Bengal improved their score in the second round.
"We definitely started out slow and couldn't get anything to go our way in the first round yesterday," Idaho State coach
Dallen Atkins said. "Little bit had to do with the weather but most of it had to do with the winter rust. Our short games were from being sharp and midseason form. We dug ourselves into a quite a big hole to get out of. We did manage to turn it around by almost 30 shots today though. Its just hard in any sport to start behind like we are. But, we are going to grind to finish strong and be ready for the Jackrabbit Invitational on Sunday."
Tya Seth leads the Bengals after two rounds with a 159 (82-77).
Tyler Erickson scored a 79 in round 2 after an 84 in round 1 for a 163.
Ainsley Snyder sits with a 165 through two rounds (85-80) while
Lindsey Lloyd has a 168 (90-78).
