| By:

POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State track and field wrapped up the 2022 West Region Preliminary meet this weekend at the University of Arkansas.

"I was really proud of this group," said Head Coach Hillary Merkley. "They came ready to get the most out of the experience. They were appreciative of having the opportunity and they were prepared and some of the younger athletes got a taste of what it takes to compete at this level. We are leaving Arkansas better and we get to head to Eugene to support Treyshon in his final meet as a Bengal."

Friday Afternoon, Zack Ramos, Owen Mitchell and Axel Tirado-Sanchez wrapped up their final meet for the season.

In the high jump, Mitchell cleared 6-8.75 to finish top-45 in the west region of the NCAA.

In the discus, Tirado-Sanchez and Ramos earned 34th and 35th place finishes with throws of 169-0 and 168-9 respectively.

Rounding out the weekend, Bengal freshman Kylee Dimick earned a top-25 spot in the west in the women's high jump. Dimick cleared 1.71m (5-7.25) to finish tied-for 24th in the region.
