Pocatello, ID - Among all of the fanfare surrounding the Snake River Open, perhaps the most exciting thing to remember is that it was only the beginning.
Following a strong showing at the season opener in the ICCU Dome, The Idaho State Track and Field teams are set to take a short trip along the Great Salt Lake down to Ogden, Utah to compete at the Weber State Invitational from January 19-20.
The invite will feature very familiar opponents in the titular host Wildcats as well as the Utah State Aggies, both of whom were down in Pocatello just last week for the Snake River Open. Also featured in the meet will be the Utah Utes out of Salt Lake City and the Utah Valley Wolverines out of Provo.
The Bengals are riding momentum from a highlight reel performance in the season opener, with Brielle Davis, Mikaela Hill, Rachael Dyck, Josie Settle, and Sergio Garcia-Jimenez all recording personal bests to enter the Top-10 in school history, and Axel Tirado-Sanchez, Khutsisa Rampete, and Kyndal Martin all doing the same to improve upon their status in the books. Martin in particular has now entered the top 4 in both the 60m and the 60mH, setting a new school record and breaking it in back-to-back races in the latter.
Below is a list of details regarding the meet.
