Big Sky Conference Announces Indoor Preseason Polls

Bengal Men Projected 6th, Women 3rd in Annual Coaches' Rankings

Pocatello, ID - Just minutes before the Bengals' first events of the season, the Big Sky Conference announced the preseason polls for the indoor slate.

Determined by the league's coaches, Idaho State Track and Field received their placement on the eve of the first meet day of the season. The men's team were projected sixth in the conference, ahead of Northern Colorado, Sacramento State, Eastern Washington, and Portland State.

The Bengal women are projected to finish third in the Big Sky after a strong 2023-24 campaign, trailing only Northern Arizona and Montana State in the polls.

Northern Arizona was nearly a unanimous favorite to repeat as conference champions, securing 19 of 20 first-place votes across both the men's and women's teams. The Montana State men's team received the other top nomination.

The Bengals' placements in the polls match where they left off after last year's indoor conference meet. The ISU men were selected sixth in the 23-24 preseason polls and finished there as well. The women rose to finish the indoor season in third place after being projected seventh.
