PROVO, Utah — The Idaho State women's tennis team closed a competitive week at the ITA Mountain Regional, hosted by BYU, with multiple qualifying-round victories and a pair of main-draw wins from Millie Day and Emmy Richards. The event featured top players from across the Mountain Region, including programs such as BYU, Utah, Denver, and UNLV.
Head Coach Gretchen Maloney said the regional tournament offered valuable lessons as the Bengals continue their fall campaign.
"Regional is always such a great way to learn what we need to put into our games to be stronger," Maloney said. "Emmy and Millie both had great tournaments. They won several rounds and did well in doubles."

Millie Day advanced through qualifying with two straight-set wins, including 6-2, 6-3 over Air Force's Shivaani Selvan and 6-2, 6-2 against UNLV's Sofiia Sokolvak.

Emmy Richards battled through a three-setter to defeat Denver's Claudia Martinez de Velasco, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.

Sydney Morris pushed Utah's Andjelija Markovic in two tight sets before falling, 5-7, 5-7.
