The Idaho State track and field team turned in another exceptional weekend of competition at the Utah Spring Classic, highlighted by a series of first-place finishes, personal records, and historic marks that solidify the Bengals' growing momentum this outdoor season.

In the field events,
Ekhardt Van Der Watt soared to a second-place finish in the pole vault, clearing a season best 4.95m (16'02.75").

Jay Wadley continued his stellar form in the throws, claiming first place in the shot put with a massive personal-best mark of 17.41m (57' 1.5"), launching him into 7
th all-time in Idaho State history. Wadley has now PR'd in back-to-back meets.

On the track,
Anise Becker was dominant in the 400-meter hurdles, blazing to a personal-best 1:00.24 and clinching first place. The performance moves her up to 4
th all-time in ISU program history. Becker also anchored the women's 4x400-meter relay team, alongside
Gracee Alders, Kaila Medeiros, and
Morgan Graham, finishing second overall with a time of 3:52.49.

The Bengals showed depth in the women's pole vault as well, where
Elliotte Stockham and
Brielle Davis both cleared 3.95m (12' 11.5"), finishing first and second, respectively, in a one-two sweep of the event.

Allie Lemons notched a personal-best 18:42.87 in the 5000m, taking third place in a competitive distance field. In the throws,
Megan Moore earned third in the shot put with a massive toss of 13.74m (45' 1"), while
Katelyn Dickemore captured third in the javelin at 43.68m (143' 4").

With athletes stepping up across every event group and several Bengals climbing the ISU all-time list, the Bengals look prepped for a strong finish as they compete in the last month of the season. The team will be back next Thursday, April 17
th, where they will compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational in the sunny Azusa, CA.
