SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah – Idaho State women's golf opened play Monday with 36 holes at Talons Cove Golf Course. The Bengals finished the day with a team score of +34, highlighted by Kaylie Parola's under-par afternoon round.
Round 1
In the morning session, Parola and Avery Bayer each carded a 2-over 74 to lead Idaho State. Parola went out in even-par 36 before closing with a 38 on the back nine, while Bayer matched her with a steady 36–38 split that marked a career-low round.
Izzy Hassebrock and Andrea Chin both posted 79 (+7), and Venus Yong rounded out the team scoring with an 82 (+10).
Round 2
Parola delivered the Bengals' best score of the day in the afternoon round, firing a 71 (-1) with a 37 on the front nine and a 34 on the back. The score ties for the fourth-lowest individual round in program history and matches the sixth-lowest vs. par.
Hassebrock bounced back with a 75 (+3) to move into the top 50 individually, while Yong closed strong with a 35 on the back nine to finish at 77 (+5). Bayer and Chin each added 78s (+6) to complete the second round.
