Biography

Idaho State (2024-25): Redshirt season

Walla Walla Community College (2022-23): Started and played in all 30 games for the Warriors… grabbed 100 total rebounds, 81 assists, 29 steals, and nine blocks… averaged 15.7 points, 3.3 rebound, and 2.7 assists per game… was an 82% free throw shooter.. shot 47.1% from the field, and 43% from three-point range. 

Walla Walla Community College (2021-22): Started all 25 games in his first season… averaged 14.2 points, three rebounds, and two assists per game… shot 49.2% from the field, 48.7% behind the arc and 84.6% from the free throw line… grabbed 76 total rebounds, 50 assists, 19 steals and six blocks.

Garden Valley High School: Attended Garden Valley High School and received scholarship offers for football and basketball. Excelling in basketball, he set the school single-game scoring record with 54 points. He went on to lead his team to their first state championship in program history. Covy scored 45 points in the State Championship game, breaking his own single-game scoring record at the State Tournament in the 1A Division II classification. He was also named the Most Valuable Player for 1A D2 Boys Basketball All-Tournament Team averaging 30 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 4.3 APG, 1.7 SPG, 0.7 BPG. Covy was also named the 1A Division II All-Idaho boys basketball Player of the Year his sophomore and senior season.

Personal: Covy is from Garden Valley, Idaho and is majoring in Business at Idaho State. His favorite foods include Italian subs for lunch and steak with potatoes for dinner. His favorite movies are the Marvel movies and his favorite basketball player is Steph Curry. When he isn’t on the court, he enjoys a variety of hobbies including chess, golf, and all things outdoors.
