POCATELLO, Idaho – Sophomore
Jessie Eaves won the women's heptathlon on the final day of the Bengal Dec-Hep Fest with a career best and Big Sky qualifying score of 4,498 points.
Eaves's win was highlighted by her first place finishes in the long jump with a career best mark of 5.28 meters, 100 meter hurdles (14.66) and 200 meter dash (26.13).
Bailey Woodbury followed Eaves in second place with a career best score of 4,423 points,
Shayla Neibaur trailed in third with a score of 4,260 points and
Andrea Vicic rounded out the top four with a heptathlon score of 4,238 points.
Senior
Jacob Dudley placed second in the decathlon with a career best score of 6,004 points. Dudley placed first in the long jump with 6.21 meters and placed second in the high jump with a career best height of 1.83 meters.
Kimball Hardman placed fourth with a decathlon score of 5,818 and
Tim Ankenman rounded out scoring for the Bengals with a score of 4,825 points.
The Bengals are on the road for the Utah Spring Classic hosted by the University of Utah Friday, April 10 and the Wildcat Outdoor Open hosted by Weber State Saturday, April 11.
