BOZEMAN, MONT. – Idaho State track and field earned three titles and seven podiums in the Bozeman Running Co. Dual Meet Invitational hosted by Montana State on Saturday, Feb. 4.
Top Performers
Robert Counts ran his fastest 400m race of the season to secure his fourth-consecutive victory. His 48.69 finish tied his personal best set at the 2016 Big Sky Conference Championship which was also hosted in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
Bailey Woodbury emerged as a leader for the women's team once again. The senior tied for first in the long jump with a 5.49m (10-0 1/4) leap and secured third place in the 60m hurdles with an 8.90 finish.
Cory Mullanix continued his strong freshman campaign with a 6.98 run to win the 60m dash. He has earned top-three finishes in each of his 60m dash appearances this season.
Highlights
Sasha Kent's 5:00.36 finish in the mile was a new personal best. Kent finished third in the race and moved into ninth on the Big Sky Conference performance list behind teammate
Jenica Dodge.
Elizabeth Reichlinger finished second in the women's pole vault with another 3.65m (11-11 3/4) performance.
The men's 4x400m relay team composed of
Tim Ankenman,
Jakota Brown,
Ty James and
Daniel Garz crossed the line in third with a 3:25.74 finish.

With a limited number of competitors, the men's and women's teams both lost to Weber State and Montana State in the dual scoring.
Upcoming Events
The Bengals return to Holt Arena for the Mountain State Games Feb. 10-11. It is the last scheduled meet for the track and field teams before the 2017 Big Sky Conference Championship. Idaho State hosts the conference championship in Holt Arena Feb. 23-25.
