San Francisco -- Idaho State's distance runners made their marks on the Idaho State record books at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival on Friday, March 31.

Wyatt Didericksen had a team-high, third-place finish for the Bengals with a 3:49.26 performance in the 1,500m race. The men's 1,500m event featured 139 runners. Didericksen's mark is 0.08 seconds behind the conference leader Nathan Weitz.
Â
Presli Hutchison finished the 10,000m race in seventh place and
Carly Hansen crossed the line in 14th. Hutchison's 35:38.42 finish is the third-fastest time ran in ISU history and Hansen's 36:24.17 finish ranks eighth in ISU history.
Â
"Presli ran very well and very smart," said Assistant Coach
Nate Houle. "It was great to see her run a solid performance from start to finish. I still firmly believe she's a sub-35 minute girl this year which should take her to the NCAAs."
Â
At the same meet last season, Hansen finished the 10,000m race with a time of 37:44.53.
Â
"Carly definitely surprised me by cutting about a minute off her time there last year," Houle said. "We had a pace set for her and after being on at 5k she just threw the pace out the window and dropped from 88 and 89 second laps to 84 and 85 second laps. I'm super impressed."
Â
Hutchison's and Hansen's times rank first and third in the conference.
Â
In the 3,000m steeplechase
Sasha Kent set a personal record with a time of 10:47.38. Kent leads the conference and remains fourth on the Idaho State records list behind Erica Wendt-Richardson, Emily Mulick and Lois Ricardi.
Â
Jenica Dodge capped the night for the Bengals with a 16:57.55 finish in women's 5,000m. She moves to third in the Idaho State record book behind Bradi and
