TORRANCE, Calif. –
The personal records kept coming for the Bengals during the second day of the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday, April 14.

In the triple jump, defending Big Sky Conference Champion Deante Gaines battled a 0.3m head wind to secure the second-best jump in ISU history. Gaines launched 15.27m (50-1 1/4) to top his former personal record by 0.01m.

On the track, Wyatt Didericksen ran the sixth fastest 1,500m time in ISU history and finished third overall. Didericksen finished with a personal record time of 3:46.91.

Sasha Kent set her second personal record of the meet with a 4:34.41 finish in the women's 1,500m race. She finished second in her section and 18th overall.

"I thought everyone did a solid job this weekend on the big stage and on the smaller stage," said Head Coach Hillary Merkley. "Overall I think people are taking care of business and putting themselves in a position to be able to be successful."

The Bengals return to action next weekend at the Robison Invitational. The Robison Invitational is the only remaining meet on schedule for ISU prior to the conference championships in May.
