POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State track and field heads north this week for the Montana State Dual Invite No. 2 on Feb. 8. Events will be held inside Worthington Arena in Bozeman, Mont.
The Bengals face off against conference opponents Montana State, Montana, Weber State and Eastern Washington.
The meet begins with the men's and women's weight throw at 2:30 p.m.
Live coverage of the meet will be available on Watch Big Sky TV and Pluto TV channel 238 starting at 3:30 p.m.
This is the last meet for the Bengals before they return to MSU for the 2019 Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Conference Championships Feb. 21-23.
Big Sky Performance Lists
Idaho State currently holds 31 top-10 conference marks. Treyshon Malone, Trevor Jensen, Ashley VanVleet-Sturgis, Jenica Dodge, Brianna VanVleet and Molly Olsen all hold spots in multiple events.
Newcomers to the list this week are Antonio Chavez, Joe Simmons, Sierra Kiser and Brianna VanVleet.
Malone remains the conference leader in the long jump and is currently ranked No. 23 in the nation. VanVleet-Sturgis holds the No. 25 pentathlon spot and Tanner Conner and Michael Dean continue to hold the No. 1 ranks in the 55m dash and the 55m hurdles.
Regional Rankings
The Idaho State men's track and field team fell one place to the 12th spot in the Mountain Region Rankings released by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA)Â this week. The women's track and field team saw no movement maintaining its 17th place ranking.
