Bengals Head to Bozeman for Yellowstone Intercollegiate

POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State women's golf continues its fall campaign with a trip north to compete in the Yellowstone Intercollegiate, hosted by Montana State. The two-day, 54-hole event tees off Monday morning at Riverside Country Club, a par-72, 6,319-yard course nestled in the Gallatin Valley.

Tournament Format
The event will feature 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday, with an 8:30 a.m. MDT shotgun start each day. Teams will compete in five-count-four stroke play across the two rounds.

Final round recaps and results will be shared at the end of each day.

The Field
The 11-team field includes a mix of Big Sky Conference foes and strong regional programs:
•                Cal Baptist
•                Cal State Northridge
•                Eastern Washington
•                Gonzaga
•                Idaho
•                Idaho State
•                Montana
•                Montana State (host)
•                North Dakota
•                North Dakota State
•                Portland State

Bengal Lineup
Idaho State will feature the same core lineup that delivered a +58 finish at the Wolverine Invitational last week. The starting five includes:
•                1. Andrea Chin
•                2. Kaylie Parola
•                3. Avery Bayer
•                4. Izzy Hassebrock
•                5. Venus Yong
Lauren Aasand will compete as an individual.

What to Watch
The Bengals look to build off strong individual performances at Talons Cove, where Parola fired a second-round 71—tied for the fourth-lowest in program history—while Bayer delivered a career-best tournament total of 227 (+11).

ISU combined for 21 birdies across three rounds, with consistent play coming on par 5s and late back-nine stretches. Chin and Yong both carded rounds of 76 to close out the previous tournament, and Hassebrock finished +15 overall after a steady 77 in the final round.

The par-72 layout at Riverside Country Club should present favorable scoring opportunities for a Bengal team trending upward.
