BOZEMAN, Mont. – Idaho State women's golf made history on Monday at the MSU Intercollegiate, firing a program-record 291 in round one and following with a 293 in round two at Riverside Country Club. The Bengals' 36-hole total of 584 (+8) smashed the previous school record of 597 (+29) and positioned them in a tie for fourth place entering Tuesday's final round.
Tournament Format
The 11-team event is being played at Riverside Country Club, a par-72, 6,319-yard layout. Teams played 36 holes Monday with the final 18 slated for Tuesday.

Player Highlights
Kaylie Parola opened the day with a team-low 70 (-2), highlighted by birdies on holes 3, 10, and 15. She added an eagle at the par-5 10th in round two and finished with a 145 (+1).
Andrea Chin delivered one of the day's biggest comebacks, bouncing from a 75 (+3) in round one to a 70 (-2) in round two. Chin carded four birdies on the day, including a pair on the front nine of her second round, for a 145 (+1).
Izzy Hassebrock put together the most birdies of any Bengal with eight across her two rounds. She birdied five holes in round one, including both par-5s on the back nine, and finished with a steady 72–73 performance for a 145 (+1).
Avery Bayer caught fire late in round one, stringing together four straight birdies on holes 14–17 en route to a 74 (+2). She followed with an 80 (+8) in the afternoon to close the day at 154 (+10).
Venus Yong rebounded from an opening 80 (+8) with a solid 75 (+3) in round two. Her day was highlighted by a birdie on the par-3 sixth hole.
Lauren Aasand, competing as an individual, improved five strokes from round one to round two, posting an 83–78 for a 161 (+17). She notched birdies on holes 10, 11, and 18.
What to Watch
The Bengals enter Tuesday looking to build on their record-setting performance. With Parola, Chin, and Hassebrock all tied at 145 (+1), Idaho State has three players in prime position to climb the leaderboard in the final round.
