GREELY, Colo. –
Bailey Woodbury earned her personal best heptathlon score (4,749 points) in the Big Sky Outdoor Conference Championships at Nottingham Field during a fifth-place effort on Thursday.

Riding a hot start on day one, Woodbury took a pair of ninth-place finishes in the 800m (2:30.78) and long jump (5.24m).

"Bailey gets better and better each time out here," Head Coach Hillary Merkley said. "It's awesome to see her hard work pay off for her."

MaKenzie Gunter finished 14th overall, aided by a 32.88m throw in the javelin for 531 of her 4,059 points. Tracey Gordon was just behind Gunter in 15th with 3,737 points.

James Rodeman climbed to ninth with 5,917 points after finishing in 12th place on Wednesday. His best performance on Thursday came in the javelin, where he finished third with a 47.26m throw. Dyllan James tallied 5,794 points and gained four positions on day two, rising from 14th to 10th. He ran 1,500m with a time of 4:37.25 to finish second behind teammate Tim Ankenman. Ankenman won the 1,500m for the fourth time this season with a time of 4:36.35, bringing his total to 5,740 points for a 12th place finish. Kimball Hardman wrapped up the decathlon just behind Ankenman with a season high 5,727 points in 13th.

"The perseverance on the men's side was great," Merkley said. "They each have had their own battles this year and though the result didn't always show it, there were some important lessons learned this week."
