Personal: Dougal is majoring in Biology at Idaho State and attended Thunder Ridge High School in Ammon, Idaho, where he was coached by Michael Berger and played defensive end and tight end. He earned First Team All-East Idaho Conference honors at defensive end and was an honorable mention selection at tight end. Dougal said he chose Idaho State for the environment, the coaching staff, and the opportunity to stay close to home. Outside of football, he enjoys camping, dirt biking, and spending time with his family, and listens to Three Days Grace and J. Cole before games. He lists Nick Bosa as his favorite NFL player, supports the San Francisco 49ers, and can be found on Instagram (@mckay.dougal). Athletic tradition runs in his family, as his grandfather played baseball and football at Boise State when the school was still Boise Junior College.
