POCATELLO, Idaho – On Day 2 of the Snake River Open sophomore Madison Cicierski and junior Taylor Clark placed first and second in the weight throw, respectively.

Cicierski's throw of 55'2" is good for the sixth best throw on ISU's all-time indoor records.  Clark's toss of 53'4" was enough to get her on the all-time list at ninth.  These marks are also the top in the Big Sky at this point in the season.

"Madi is pretty young and to have her be where she's at early on is great," Head Coach Hillary Merkley said.  "We recruited her as a javelin thrower actually so she's doing a great job in an area we didn't even recruit her for.  She just works hard and pushes herself."

Sophomore Skyla Liava'a-Fiefia also had a personal best in the weight throw of 47'3.5".  Liava'a-Fiefia also took second in the shot put with a personal best throw of 40'5.75".  Freshman Alyssa Gorrell also had a personal best throw of 40'4.5", good enough for a third place finish in the shot put.

In the long jump junior Hannah Bartz took second with a jump of 18'11.75".  Freshman Brianna Vanvleet jumped 17'4.25 to finish sixth and sophomore Sarah Pinney set a personal best mark with 15'6".

Sophomore Sophia Cunningham was able to finish second in the 400m with a time of 58.31.

Men

On the men's side sophomore Tanner Conner won the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.36 seconds.  Junior James Rodeman ran a 8.70 to finish in eight place and Freshman Tyler Johnson ran a personal best 8.83.

Earlier in the day Rodeman had the best finish in the two final events of the heptathlon.  In the 60m hurdles he ran a 8.53 and in the pole vault he jumped 14'1.25". That was enough to win the heptathlon with 4,651 points.  Senior Tim Ankeman had a time of 2:48.94 to win the heptathlon 1000m.

Freshman Alec Richardson won the long jump with a distance of 23'1.5" with junior Kyle LeBlanc finishing second with a jump of 22'11.75".

Freshman Kodee Vining ran a personal best 22.75 to win the 200m for the men.
