The Idaho State track and field team put together a decent outing at the UVU Collegiate Invitational, with multiple podium finishes, outdoor personal bests, and standout performances across various events. The Bengal men finished third overall with 95 points, while the women placed fifth with 80 points.

On the track,
Khutsisa Rampete led the way for the men's sprinters, securing a second-place finish in the 200m with a time of 21.61 seconds. In the women's 400m,
Gracee Alders ran a personal best of 58.62 seconds, earning her a third-place finish. The men's 4x400m relay team of Corbridge Bastian,
Brody Burch,
Sunny Gunn, and
Jason Monroe also delivered a solid race, finishing third in 3:16.24.

In the field events,
Kaiden Lee had a standout meet, earning second place in the triple jump (45'1.75") and second in the high jump (6'6.25"), both personal bests.
Jackson Wilkey also shined in the men's high jump, securing a third-place finish with a PR of 6'4.5".

For the women's field events,
Kaila Mederios hit a personal best in the long jump (18'3.0"), finishing fourth, while
Audrey Sampsen cleared 5'5.0" in the high jump, also a PR, earning third place. In the pole vault,
Elliotte Stockham claimed second place with a clearance of 12'11.5", while on the men's side,
Maddix Blazovich also took second place, clearing 16'1.0".

The throwers had a strong outing as well, with
Jay Wadley setting a personal best in the shot put (55'4.25"), taking second place.
Kait Ward also earned second place in the hammer throw (172'1.75"), while
Katelyn Dickemore showed her versatility, placing fourth in both the discus (144'5.5") and javelin (137'10.75").

With multiple PRs and top finishes, the Bengals continue to build momentum as the outdoor season progresses. Next up, Idaho State will look to carry this success into their next competition as they fine-tune performances ahead of the conference championships. The team will next compete at the Utah/Weber State Spring Open on Friday, April 11
th in Ogden, UT.
