Sul Ross State (2024): Appeared in 11 games during the 2024 season...Caught 45 passes for 510 yards and seven touchdowns...Returned 19 kickoffs for 446 yards and a touchdown...Finished the season with 956 all-purpose yards and eight total touchdowns...Posted career highs of 11 receptions for 113 yards against Texas A&M-Kingsville on 09/28/24...Recorded a receiving touchdown in four consecutive games...Ranked tied for second in the Lone Star Conference in receiving touchdowns, third in receptions, and fourth in kick return average (23.47)...Earned Fall 2024 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition.

Personal: Oaxaca, who goes by Yamo, is majoring in Business Administration at Idaho State and attended Montwood High School in El Paso, Texas, where he played wide receiver and safety under head coach Ariel Famaligi. He earned Dean's List and Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition and was a two-time all-conference selection at Sul Ross State. Oaxaca also competed with Ace Athletix and said he chose Idaho State for the coaching staff and the city of Pocatello. Outside of football, he enjoys video games and watching movies, listens to praise and worship music before games, supports the San Francisco 49ers, and can be found on Instagram (@fwyamo).
