The second day of the Bengal Invitational at Davis Field was packed with emotion, intensity, and elite performances as Idaho State Track & Field honored its seniors. The Bengals took full advantage of their final home meet, lighting up the competition with personal bests, top ten records, and podium sweeps.

Wadley Wows with Record-Breaking Throws
Jay Wadley delivered one of the most dominant individual performances of the weekend. He launched the discus 57.53m (188'9") to secure first place, a massive personal best that ranks him 2
nd all-time in ISU history, #1 in the Big Sky, #22 in the NCAA West Region, and #36 nationally. Wadley wasn't done yet—he followed it up with an 18.30m (60'.5") shot put PR to claim another event title. That mark now ranks him 4
th all-time at ISU, #1 in the Big Sky, #33 in the NCAA West, and #59 nationally.

Andrew Burrows also had a stellar day, throwing personal bests in both events: 48.28m (158'4") in the discus for 3
rd place and 16.47m (54'.5") in the shot put.

Middle Distance Milestone: Renzello Nearly Breaks ISU 800m Record
Hailey Renzello stole the spotlight in the women's 800m, cruising to a first-place finish in 2:09.41. The time was not only a personal best but ranks her 2
nd all-time in Idaho State history—just 0.04 seconds shy of the school record. Renzello also slots in at #5 in the Big Sky for the 2025 season.

Hurdlers Hit Their Stride
The Bengals excelled in the hurdles, starting with
Anise Becker who clocked 13.98 seconds in the 100mH finals for 3
rd place. In the 400mH, ISU went 1-2 as
Teressa Christensen earned a PR win in 1:04.26 and
Oaklie Hebdon followed close behind in 1:05.91 for second.

Distance Dominance on the Track
In the women's 3000m steeplechase, Allie Lemons ran a gutsy race to finish first in 11:44.59, a new personal best. The women's 5000m was another showcase of ISU's depth, with
Cassandra Vasquez winning in 17:29.26.
Kamber Smith (18:18.05) and
Sulette Ferreyra Serna (18:23.18, PR) took second and fourth respectively.

On the men's side,
Sam Jeppsen ran 15:57.80 for a personal best and a third-place finish in the 5K.

Rampete Races into the Record Books
Khutsisa Rampete put together an explosive sprint double on Saturday. He ran a personal best 10.47 seconds in the 100m finals to place third—good for 9
th all-time in ISU history and #7 in the Big Sky this season. He followed it up by dominating the 200m finals, winning in 21.14 seconds.

Field Athletes Leave a Mark
The field events were another area of strength for Idaho State.
Katelyn Dickemore won the women's discus with a season-best 47.71m (156'6").
Zoie Kessinger PR'd for 4
th place at 46.42m, moving into 9
th all-time in school history. Notably, seven Bengal women surpassed the 40-meter mark in the discus, showcasing impressive team depth.

Megan Moore placed 4
th in the shot put with 14.21m (46'7.5"). In the jumps,
Kylee Dimick cleared 1.63m (5'4.25") in the high jump for 4
th, and
Kaiden Lee earned 3
rd in the men's high jump with a PR of 2.04m (6'8.25").

Cade Ricks added a pole vault PR at 4.99m (16'4.5") to place 5
th, and
Cam Davis finished 2
nd in the triple jump with 13.92m (45'8").

With a stadium full of energy and appreciation, ISU Track & Field honored its seniors one final time at home. With outstanding performances across the board, it was a fitting send-off for the graduating athletes.

The Bengals will take two weeks off as they prepare for the Outdoor Conference Championships in Sacramento, California. After remarkable performances at their home venue, they should have plenty of momentum going into the last meet of the season.
